Ensures all daily routes are dispatched at appropriate route times to ensure timely transportation and food safety. Standard hours of operation are Monday; 7am-1pm Friday; 5am-2pm. Establishes driver schedules and routing for statewide deliveries for 6-8 drivers. Hires and trains new drivers as needed. Verifies order accuracy and timely delivery. Communicates to sales director/team as changes occur including delivery times, missing product, and/or complaints. Has knowledge of geographic area and establishes most efficient routing using Samsara of cloud-based routing platform. Maintains and monitors Dispatch team performance and safety goals. Has basic understanding of Food Safety and the handling of RTE (ready to eat) products. Must be able to handle up to 50/lb boxes/packages when loading and unloading vehicles and/or cargo loads. Maintains records pertaining to trip mileage, duration of trip, delivery efficiencies etc. Monitors safe vehicle operation and communicates to fleet staff regarding needed maintenance. Chauffer and DOT License are required. Experience with Samsara or any other cloud based routing platform is highly preferred.
