In this vital role, you will oversee all aspects of transportation planning and freight management to ensure timely delivery and cost-effective operations. Your leadership will be instrumental in optimizing our transportation processes and growing this division by increasing operations personnel and drivers. Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of all transportation processes and personnel
- Oversee TMS to monitor shipments, analyze data and improve efficiency
- Build a team of logistics coordinators and track / trace personnel
- Coordination of all activities on all shifts
- Work with Safety to increase truck count and driver count
- Lead and coach employees with effective communication and professional development strategies Qualifications
- Supply Chain / Logistics degree helpful but not required
- Proven experience in a Transportation Manager role
- Truck routing software experience
- Be able to work a varied and flexible schedule
- A solid understanding of DOT regulations
- Strong leadership and team-building capabilities
- Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment
