Job Description
Stone Transport is seeking a self-motivated, team playing individual to work as a Driver Manager . Stone Transport is a very large and diverse corporation that is expanding. Who we are- Stone is a complete logistics company based out of Saginaw, MI. We have a very large presence in the multi-axle heavy haul industry in the MIDWEST. We also have operations in Texas, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, Ohio and Canada. At Stone, we encourage a vibrant, creative, rewarding work atmosphere, while adhering to the values that will get the job done. Requirements for Dispatcher-Driver Manager - Work out of Saginaw Office. Monday through Friday 7a-5p. - Must be a good communicator with a strong focus on driver retention.
- Experience in transportation logistics. -Knowledge of FMCSA rules and regulations.
- Ability to efficiently use Windows and Microsoft Office (i.e. Work, Excel, Outlook)
- Good attitude and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to work independently Job Expectations
- Commitment to Stone's safety policies and procedures, and ability to promote awareness.
- Communicate with drivers on pick-up and delivery of loads.
- Scheduling pick-up and delivery appointment times with customers and drivers.
- Communicating effectively with customers, shippers, and receivers regarding changes in pick-up/delivery and potential service failures.
- Pre-planning the use of company drivers and equipment for optimal efficiency.
- Track/trace shipments when requested.
