Traffic Control Flagging Foreman

Traffic Control Technician Foreman Reports to:

Traffic Control Manager Summary:

Utility Traffic & Restoration, Inc. (UTR) is now accepting applications for an immediate opening for a traffic control foreman. UTR is a union contractor specializing in traffic control and surface restoration services for utility companies and their contractors throughout the Midwest.

Primary responsibilities:

• Assist in organizing traffic control crews on a daily basis to complete the scheduled work in a safe, cost-effective, and high-qualify manner
• Train new employees and assist in ensuring quality and safety from all crews
• Set up, maintain, and remove temporary traffic control work zones according to ATSSA and MUTCD standards to maintain safe work zones for customers
• Additional duties as requested by management

We Offer:

• Pay starting at $33.67/hr. Exceptionally qualified candidates may receive more.

Qualifications:

• 1 year of temporary traffic control experience required
• Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of team development and employee mentoring is highly desired
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, is required
• Ability to create and maintain relationships with vendors, customers, and employee's
• Ability to coordinate several tasks at once and work under strict deadlines
• Valid driver's license class D with clean driving record
• Must be able to pass a background check, drug testing, and DOT physical
• Must always be reliable and professional
• Ability to safely operate a company vehicle to and from job sites
• Must have strong attention to detail and surroundings
• Must be able to lift 50+ pounds on a semi-regular basis
• Compliance with all safety regulations is mandatory
