Transport Management - Deputy Manager
Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and operations-focused LATMP Venue Deputy Manager to support transportation and traffic operations for a global soccer event in Kansas City. In this role, you will help oversee traffic flow, road closures, vehicle access control, and transportation coordination surrounding tournament venues to ensure safe and efficient movement for spectators, client groups, operational teams, and local residents.

Job Responsibilities
Support the execution and day-to-day operations of the Local Area Transport Management Plan (LATMP) for assigned venues
Assist with managing restricted traffic zones, temporary road closures, and vehicle access checkpoints
Monitor traffic flow, vehicle queuing, and roadway conditions in high-traffic operational areas
Coordinate with law enforcement, city agencies, security teams, and transport partners to maintain safe and efficient venue access
Support enforcement of Vehicle Access & Parking Permit (VAPP) procedures and screening protocols
Oversee the movement of authorized vehicles including tournament buses, service vehicles, deliveries, and emergency response units
Supervise and support LATMP marshals and traffic control personnel during event operations
Provide real-time operational updates, incident reports, and situational awareness to venue leadership and the Transport Operations Centre (TOC)
Assist with traffic signage placement, temporary traffic control setup, and roadway management activities
Engage with local businesses, residents, and stakeholders to address transportation and access concerns
Ensure compliance with operational procedures, safety protocols, and transportation management standards
Support operational rehearsals, match-day execution, and tournament readiness activities
2-4 years of experience in traffic management, transportation logistics, event operations, or related operational environments
Experience supporting large-scale sporting events, stadium operations, or public mobility programs preferred
Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure operational settings
Strong communication and coordination skills with public safety agencies, operational teams, and stakeholders
Familiarity with traffic control operations, road closure management, and temporary traffic plans
Experience with vehicle access control systems and checkpoint operations preferred
Strong problem-solving and situational awareness skills during live operational events
Ability to supervise and coordinate small field teams
Basic reporting, documentation, and incident tracking experience
Familiarity with Kansas City roadways and venue transportation routes is a plus
Bilingual or multilingual skills are considered an advantage
Must be available to work extended hours, evenings, weekends, and match-day schedules as required during tournament operations

The hourly rate for this position is anticipated between $45.00 - $45.00 per hour. This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the shift you work and other considerations permitted by law.
