Transportation Coordinator Category/Shift :

The Job You Will Perform:
Responsible for checking incoming and/or outbound product ensuring that all counts are accurate.
  • Prepares LPN labeling utilizing Nulogy (Inventory Management System - Stock Labeling Option, Inventory Inquiry, & Location Inquiry) for customer product, corrugated, and/or finished goods inventory.
  • Assure proper labeling and inventory counts using corrugated inch counting, scale counting, and manual counts.
  • Assist the forklift driver as needed by operating the stretch wrap machine.
  • Communicates and works closely with the Logistics Manager, Shipping Clerks, and Warehouse Coordinators to ensure inventory is accurate and receives the correct disposition.
  • Use computer as needed to track/verify counts and to correct entries as needed.
  • Utilize verbal and written communication with customers, and ability to schedule outbound loads with trucking companies.
  • Assists in conducting random inventory audits as needed.
  • Performs basic housekeeping tasks in support of housekeeping initiatives; keeps work area clean and free from clutter and debris.
  • May be assigned to assist in any department as needed to support overall operational efficiencies
The Skills You Will Bring:
  • Must be familiar with operation of a computer; prior knowledge of Nulogy (Inventory Management System).
  • Computer software knowledge (Microsoft Word, Excel, & Outlook).
  • Must have the ability to multi-task and set priorities.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to take direction and work independently.
  • Must follow all safety rules and procedures; always watch out for crew member's safety; always use personal protective equipment (safety glasses are required and cut resistant gloves are to be used as needed).
  • Work requires the ability to understand and follow directions in English.
  • Demonstrate the ability to add and subtract all units of measure, read and copy figures, and count and record figures.
  • A comprehension level is required to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form and to deal with problems.
  • Demonstrate the ability to read, write and speak
