Transportation Safety Director

BSA Trucking Inc of Dobson, NC is looking for an experienced Transportation Safety Director to join our growing team. The ideal candidate would be a higly motivated professional, detail oriented individual with the ability to manage a variety of sectors regarding safety and compliance in transportation. Job Responsibilities Maintaining current safety standards and implementing continuing education and training programs Ensure the company and all employees comply with FMCSA, DOT, CSA, HOS, ELD, and other governmental regulations Understand and assist in the development, execution, and measurement of safety goals and management of the Company's DOT Driver/Trucking compliance programs, including but not limited to CMV files, DOT Driver Qualification Files, DOT Drug/Alcohol Programs, Vehicle Inspections, and Hours of service Oversees employees regarding safety regulations The Skills we are looking for: Working understanding of safety procedures as well, as federal, state, and provincial safety Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines Ability to function well in a high-paced environment A knack for technology with a high level of proficiency with MS office apps ELD omnitracs system knowledge preferred

Qualifications:

Bacehlors degree preferred or associates degree 5 plus years of experience in the trucking, logistics, transportation managment or related industry background in transportation safety with knowledge of DOT safety guidelines and regulations

Based out of Dobson, NC and was founded in 1998, initially with one truck. In the past 25 years our fleet has grown to 35 trucks.
