Position Summary:
The Driver Manager in the Southwest Regional Division will act as the primary point of contact for a fleet of designated drivers and will coordinate the needs of the company under the direction of the Vice President of Operations. The primary responsibilities of the position will be to manage and maintain the specific needs of each driver assigned to him or her including, but not limited to: their production level and performance, safety, policy compliance, customer service, and home time requests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Build and maintain quality relationships with assigned drivers Plan and communicate load assignments using various tools, (telephone and Qualcomm communication) Monitor mobile communication transmissions on a constant basis and respond to those that require feedback within establish guidelines Monitor ETA/OOR and notify customers on all late loads or missed pickups Follow establish procedures on all safety and service related incidents Monitor drivers overall level of production, ensuring it meets established company requirements Monitor drivers compliance with established policy on truck service intervals, quarterly inspections Monitor service sensitive loads/trucks as indicated by Customer Service Managers Document all

Manager Maintain proper attendance and punctuality to ensure that the department is operated in an efficient and cost effective manner Other Duties and Responsibilities Will be required to perform other duties and special projects as requested, directed or assigned by management. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Exceptional communication skills. Customer Service skills preferred Strong time management and organizational skills with attention to detail Strong problem solving and innovative thinking skills Extreme patience dealing with explosive situations: flawless follow-up procedures Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Windows or related windows software Comprehensive knowledge of regulations impacting daily operations (i.e. DOT) Demonstrates a basic knowledge of U.S. geography and the calculation of transit times across multiple U.S. time zones. Education and/or Experience College Degree preferred 2 years operational experience, truckload dispatch, and customer service Two years of customer service preferred Transportation, logistics or related course of study helpful Confidential Data Company proprietary and confidential Training Requirements Computer aided dispatch systems McLeod Software system Qualcomm Communication System Microsoft Office All primary responsibilities of Operations personnel Performance Standards 100% follow through and escalation of operations exceptions Late incidents Accidents and breakdowns OS&D reporting Customer inquiries Working Conditions and Environment General office environment
