responsibility for Flight Da and Communicions Operions which includes: flight da processing; defense communicions System (DCS) computers and communicions circuits; flight plan entries into the Enroute Nional Airspace System (NAS) HOST system; and monitoring of the Aeronautical Informion System Replacement (AISR) for all incoming traffic. Provides communicions and air traffic control da services, notices to airmen (NOTAMS) and a variety of other da reled to flight safety, for the Air Route Traffic Control Centers (ARTCC) and other FAA Terminal facilities. Serves as COMSEC Manager, which is responsible for managing and controlling accountable COMSEC merial in the COMSEC Merial Control System (CMCS) charged to this activity. Responsibilities include receipt, storage, amendment, accountability, inventory and issuance of COMSEC merial and destruction or transfer of merial when no longer required. Ensures th approprie COMSEC merial is readily available to authorized users whose duties require its use. Ensures th all persons requiring access to U.S. classified cryptographic informion receive an approprie cryptographic access (CA) briefing and sign a CA certifice before they are permitted access. Advises users and supervisors of required protection requirements and proper procedures for handling COMSEC merial, including authorized procedures for destruction or disposition of merial when no longer required. Report COMSEC security irregularities/violions in accordance with applicable directives. Applies a comprehensive knowledge of the technical aspects of the work directed, a detailed knowledge of budget, human resource, and other administrive policies and procedures, and a detailed understanding of the objectives of the organizional unit. Serves as Classified Informion Security Manager (CISM), which serves as the principal advisor and representive to management in mters about classifying, declassifying, downgrading and safeguarding classified informion; limits access to classified informion to cleared people with a need-to-know; keeps a list of personnel within the organizion who have access to classified informion; develops and documents the organizion's control measures to safeguard classified informion and to limit access to classified informion to authorized personnel; develops and keeps certificion and accredition documents for Nional Security Systems used by their organizion; coordines with the organizion's managers on security measures for classifying and safeguarding classified informion; coordines informion security awareness and educion within their organizion; in coordinion with records management officials, continually reduces classified holdings as approprie by declassifying, destroying or retiring unneeded records. Develops procedures, specifying how their organizion controls and safeguards classified informion; sets up and oversees procedures for any involving access to classified informion; reports security violions, including suspected unauthorized access or other thres to safeguarding classified informion; conducts and documents preliminary inquiries of suspected incidents of unauthorized access, loss or compromise of classified informion; and submits Standard Form 311, Agency Security Classificion Management Program Da.
