$50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year Reporting to the Operations Manager, this position will be responsible for managing a group of 30-35 drivers domiciled at multiple terminal locations. You are the central point of contact for your group of Independent Contractors and Employee drivers within the company. This accountability encompasses all functional areas including Finance, Safety, Maintenance, Security, and Operations. As this point of contact, you will interface with your drivers on a day-to-day basis assisting in their success within the organization. Must have the following required skills for a driver manager: Experience working as a dispatcher, Driver Manager or in a similar role Managed schedules for drivers and ensured timely deliveries Strong leadership and communication skills Communicate timely and effectively both through Qualcomm and/or over the phone with drivers. Excellent organizational and time management abilities Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions Problem-solving skills to address driver issues and operational challenges Knowledge of transportation regulations and industry standards Proficiency with fleet management software and GPS tracking systems Customer service orientation to manage client relationships In cooperation with the Safety Department Monitor drivers Hours of Service to ensure they are running within FMCSA regs. Driver Fitness records are up to date. Driver logs are up to date. All electronic safety devices are operating, and drivers are compliant.
