Full Time Shift:
Days Position Summary:
Manage, administer, plan, develop, and implement the UNM Hospitals shuttle bus transportation system, parking, motor pool and fleet management program. Oversee maintenance, acquisition, and disposal of bus fleet vehicles. Assist in the development of transportation and parking plans. Ensure adherence to Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures. No patient care assignment.
Detailed responsibilities:
BUDGET•Prepare annual budget, monitor expenditures, account for variables for assigned areas
COMPLIANCE
•Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and requirements
GOALS & OBJECTIVES
•Develop department goals and objectives; recommend, implement, and administer policies and procedures
DEVELOPMENT
•Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, reading current literature, attending in-services, meetings and workshops
PROJECTS
•Perform special projects as assigned
RECOMMENDATIONS
•Gather data and prepare recommendations regarding system usage RECORDS•Develop and implement systems to maintain records on equipment and compliance activities
SUPERVISION
•Develop efficient organizational structure. Supervise employees and select, terminate, train, educate, correct deficiencies, perform appraisals, issue discipline, counsel, schedule work assignments; encourage staff teamwork and growth initiatives
TRANSPORTATION
•Implement the planning and development of UNMH transportation and parking policies and procedures, standards and directives; participate in developing objectives, long-range plans, policies and procedures by recommending changes to plans
TRANSPORTATION
•Manage the scheduling, maintenance, operation, safety, acquisition/purchase, and disposal of the UNMH vehicle fleet and motor pool
TRANSPORTATION
•Plan, develop, and implement the UNM Hospitals bus system including scheduling, bus maintenance, safety and ensuring compliance with all applicable accreditation requirements and State and Federal regulations
VEHICLES
•Safely operate Hospitals vehicles in compliance with all city, State, Federal and University and departmental regulations and/or policies Qualifications Related Education and Experience may be substituted for one another on a year for year basis.
