In this energetic and vital role, you will be the face of our delivery service, ensuring timely and professional delivery of packages to customers in the area. This position offers an exciting opportunity to operate box trucks and cargo vehicles, providing excellent customer service while maintaining efficiency and safety on the road. Duties Safely operate box trucks and other commercial vehicles to deliver packages across designated routes within . Load and unload parcels efficiently using equipment such as pallet jacks or manual lifting techniques, ensuring proper handling of all items. Follow planned delivery routes accurately, managing time effectively to meet daily delivery schedules. Provide outstanding customer service by greeting recipients professionally, answering questions, and ensuring a positive delivery experience. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety standards are met; report any maintenance issues promptly. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and delivery confirmation records. Assist with warehouse activities when necessary, including moving packages within the facility using forklifts or manual methods. Experience Prior experience in delivery driving or courier services is highly preferred; familiarity with route driving enhances efficiency. Experience with warehouse operations, including loading/unloading and heavy lifting, is advantageous. Demonstrated customer service skills to handle interactions professionally and courteously. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks or similar commercial vehicles preferred. Knowledge of manual transmission vehicles and ability to operate forklifts or pallet jacks is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently; physical stamina for moving packages over extended periods. Previous work involving driving for courier or delivery services will help ensure success in this role.
