Job Summary:
Just Play is seeking an Inbound Logistics & Transportation Coordinator. The role is primarily responsible for coordinating international inbound shipments and supporting inland transportation. This role works closely with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, warehouses, and internal teams to oversee shipments from origin through final destination. The coordinator monitors shipment progress, manages import documentation and customs clearance, arranges domestic freight, and resolves any transportation or delivery issues to support reliable supply chain operations and customer service. To ensure success as Inbound Logistics & Transportation Coordinator, the ideal candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Excel and logistics or ERP systems, familiar with import documentation requirements, and have 2+ years of experience in logistics transportation, or import coordination
Principal Responsibilities:
Coordinate international import shipments via ocean and air from origin to U.S. ports. Communicate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and carriers to schedule shipments and manage transportation timelines. Work with customs brokers to ensure proper import clearance and compliance with U.S. import regulations. Review and manage import documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and customs paperwork. Track inbound containers and shipments and provide status updates to internal teams and customers. Arrange and manage domestic freight shipments (FTL, LTL, or parcel) to customers. Monitor shipment progress and proactively resolve delays, documentation issues, or delivery problems. Support continuous improvement efforts to optimize transportation costs and transit times.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred. 2+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or import coordination. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and logistics or ERP systems. Working knowledge of international shipping, customs clearance, and domestic freight coordination. Familiarity with Incoterms and import documentation requirements. Experience coordinating truckload, LTL, or drayage shipments. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines simultaneously. Just Play is an equal opportunity employer.
