Full Job Description Delivery Driver/Independent Contractor Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused delivery driver to transport and deliver packages safely and efficiently to residential and commercial customers. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, excellent time-management skills, and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Load, transport, and deliver small parcels according to assigned routes and schedules. Verify delivery information and ensure packages are delivered accurately and securely. Obtain proof of delivery when required. Maintain communication with dispatch regarding delivery status, delays, or issues. Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures. Keep vehicle in good condition. Handle packages carefully to prevent damage during transport. Provide professional and courteous service to customers. Use handheld scanners, mobile apps, or GPS devices to track deliveries and update records.
Qualifications:
Must be aged 21 and over Be able to speak and understand English Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and valid insurance Ability to pass background and driving record checks. Previous delivery or driving experience preferred but not required. Familiarity with local roads and navigation tools. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry packages up to 50 lbs. Frequent walking, standing, bending, and climbing stairs. Comfortable working in various weather conditions.
Work Environment:
Local delivery routes Full-time and part-time positions available.

Pay:
