This pivotal role requires a passionate leader who can drive operational excellence, impact process improvement and cost control, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. As Regional Director, you will identify opportunities to engage and add additional business while maintaining control over operational costs and improve customer service. Your expertise will empower our teams to meet customer expectations while maintaining cost efficiency and compliance with industry standards. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional eager to make a significant impact in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. Candidate can be based in Colorado, Utah, Nevada, or Arizona. The position requires frequent travel (up to 75%) with at least one week a month in the Colorado warehouse. Responsibilities
  • Responsible for all aspects of regional locations including full P&L accountability
  • Customer account management
  • Prospecting, Presenting, Negotiating & Closing new business
  • Develop, maintain, and report on Key Performance Metrics
  • Transportation network design with an emphasis on routing while auditing Key Performance Metrics
  • Investigate root causes and perform corrective action to resolve logistics issues
  • Resolve service failures and implement process for continuous improvement
  • Act as liaison between multiple business units and locations within your region
  • Monitor and identify data inaccuracies and work within various departments to resolve
  • Compile and analyze historical data to monitor trends and assist in developing bid packages
  • Effectively articulate rationale for cost savings opportunities including results of sourcing metrics to Executive leadership
  • Travel as needed to various markets to analyze and audit current operations processes and make recommendations for improvements
  • Oversee driver routes and handling of all driver issues within the region
  • Work in conjunction with corporate accounting staff regarding customer invoicing, vendor payments and COG efficiencies
  • Plan and oversee implementation of policies, procedures, and programs for all areas of operations.
  • Maintain reports for region and submit to corporate office
  • Address/Solve Customer issues Sales Requirements
  • Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers
  • Up-Sell additional services to current clients
  • Get referrals from current clients for potential opportunities
  • Develop a database of qualified leads through prospecting decision makers through telemarketing, cold calls, face to face meetings, networking and referrals
  • Gain a clear understanding of customers business and service requirements for operations to support customer and meet expectations
  • Make accurate, rapid cost calculations, and providing prospects with proposals for service
  • Produce agreements including fuel surcharges and insurance requirements
  • Negotiate pricing and service aspects, closing new business
  • Follow up with each A prospect within 24-48 hours of initial contact
  • Follow up on new sales inquiries by telephone and email
  • Conduct marketing campaigns in assigned territory with the help of the Corporate Office through direct marketing, email campaigns and sales blitz
  • Maintain accurate records of sales and prospecting activities (Sales Report)
  • All other duties as directed by Executive Corporate Staff Requirements Bachelor's degree in transportation, logistics, supply chain or related field Proven experience in transportation and logistics management with a strong background in logistics operations within a multi-state environment.
Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams across warehousing, transportation, procurement, and distribution functions. Proficiency in data analysis skills for supply chain analytics to inform decision-making and process enhancements. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners such as 3PL providers or freight carriers. Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Strong customer service skills Knowledge of financial statements Self-motivated, energetic, charismatic and able to think on feet Problem-solving and multi-tasking abilities About us:
