Success in this role requires a highly organized, self-starting professional who can make timely, well-informed decisions in a fast-paced environment. This position reports to the PGI Senior Vice President of Security Services.
The Secure Transportation Manager will be responsible for the following:
Conduct secure transportation of equipmentMaintain strict control proceduresMonitor asset status and ensure compliance with transport requirementsMaintain communication with customer representatives at key milestonesComplete required movement documentation and custody recordsOperate in compliance with NISPOM and customer security protocolsLead transport operations from planning through final deliverySupervise a Team of Movement Escorts during transport operationsServe as the primary liaison with customer representativesManage operational issues and incident response during movementsRequired QualificationsAt least 5 years of experience in security operations, logistics, transportation, or similar military operationsAt least 2 years of operational use of any geospatial platform designed to provide real-time situational awareness, team tracking, and collaborative mappingKnowledge of organizational effectiveness and operational best practicesStrong leadership and interpersonal skillsAbility to operate and make sound decisions in fast-paced and evolving environmentsExcellent communication skillsProficiency in Smartsheet and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access)Ability to travel and support multi-day operationsMust be available after hours and on weekends as operational needs requireAbility to travel domestically to customer sites or PGI locationsAbility to onboard with PGI to include fingerprinting and successfully complete a background investigationAbility to pass pre-employment and random drug screeningValid U.S. driver's licenseU.S. citizenship
Required Security Clearance:
Top Secret / SCI with Polygraph Preferred QualificationsTen years of experience in Military logistics, Convoy operations, Motorcade planning or similar roles in secure transport of high value assetsSignificant experience diplomatically managing upward and downward within a defined chain of command with internal and external customers or stakeholders.Two years of experience in national-level incident response protocols.
Bachelors degree in a related field.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires lifting, standing, walking, sitting, and bending throughout the workday.
