Traffic Control Supervisor II

Condustrial Inc. is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Traffic Control Supervisor. Must be able to travel•In this role you will be responsible for overseeing and executing traffic control and safety operations for assigned projects. This includes setting up, monitoring, and removing lane closures on state highways and other roadways, redirecting traffic for workers or survey crews, and ensuring all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations. The Supervisor leads traffic control crews, ensures job site safety, mentors team members, and manages project documentation.

Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate traffic control activities to ensure safe and efficient movement of vehicles and pedestrians around construction sites. Oversee the setup, maintenance, and removal of traffic control devices such as signs, cones, barriers, and flagging operations. Ensure all traffic control personnel are properly trained in safety procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and flagging techniques. Monitor work zones for compliance with safety standards, OSHA regulations, and local traffic laws. Collaborate with construction teams to schedule traffic control measures that minimize disruption to public and private traffic. Conduct regular inspections of equipment such as front loader trucks, dump trucks, graders, dozers, backhoes, and loaders to ensure operational safety. Assist in utility locating efforts to prevent damage to underground utilities during construction activities. Maintain detailed records of daily operations, safety incidents, and equipment maintenance. Provide guidance on heavy equipment operation including dozer, loader operation, backhoe operation, paving techniques, and grader operation. Support training initiatives for new staff in heavy machinery handling and safety protocols. Qualifications ATSSA Traffic Control Supervisor certification required Must successfully complete the ATSSA Traffic Control Supervisor advanced training course Clean MVR 2+ years of traffic control or roadway construction experience, interstate experience is a must Comprehensive knowledge of work zone safety and MUTCD standards Ability to read and execute GDOT Traffic Control Plans (TCPs) Valid driver's license with acceptable MVR Ability to work in traffic, outdoors, and in varying weather conditions Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods How to
