Job Description

Materials Management and Transportation Manager Company:
The Boeing Company Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) Supply Chain is seeking a Materials Management & Transportation Manager (Level K) to lead our Site Functional Support team in North Charleston, South Carolina. This onsite position will provide oversight & leadership to individual contributors for Boeing South Carolina Operations within the 787 Program Fulfillment Team supporting our WIP (work in process parts control), Tool Control, 3PL management, and Contracts across BSC. You will be managing a team of supply chain management analysts, field reps, and production coordinators. This role involves complex data/trend analysis, problem resolution, strategic planning, scheduling and project execution. This leader will have ownership of tooling purchasing and planning for the new 88-48 Final Assembly building and coordination with suppliers and 3PLs to meet ramp milestones. You will manage supplier KPI performance, support emergent orders, and manage inventory in all Point of Use across BSC and 3PL inventory. You will collaborate frequently with multiple business functions & teams to include 787 Operations/Production, Lean, Quality and Compliance.

Manages and integrates employee activities across more than one area in materials management and fulfillment Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements Develop and maintain relationships, and partnerships, with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes Manages, coaches, develops and motivates employees Statement of work may vary based on business needs Possesses a mindset of safety and quality; influences the team to exhibit

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course 'Exploring Leadership' 3+ years of experience working in a manufacturing or manufacturing support environment 3+ years of experience in supply chain or materials management/fulfillment Experience with inventory / ERP systems Willingness and ability to work any shift assigned based on business needs Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Bachelor's degree or higher 3+ years of experience in strategic planning, scheduling and project execution 3+ years of experience leading a team Experience with the following (or similar industry) systems: CribMaster, Velocity, Kit Integration and Tracking System (KITS), E-Enabled Tracking and Communication (eTRAC), and Order Manager (GXO Warehouse Management System) Experience with safety and quality processes Self-motivated, works well independently

Shift:
This position is for a variable shift (shift 4). Variable shift means you will be assigned a shift at time of hire based on business needs. You will remain on your assigned work shift until a re-evaluation is required. Shifts assigned for training may differ from your permanent work shift. The current expectation is hiring for 1st shift.

$107,100 - $144,900
