Job Summary Hembree Cargo Inc., an independent service provider contracted with FedEx Ground, is seeking reliable full-time Delivery Drivers to join our team. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering packages to homes and businesses within an assigned route. This position is ideal for individuals who are dependable, safety-minded, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with limited direct supervision. Drivers are expected to represent the company professionally, follow FedEx Ground service standards, communicate effectively with management, and complete routes safely and efficiently each day. Key Responsibilities Safely operate a FedEx Ground delivery vehicle while following all traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures. Load, organize, and unload packages efficiently while protecting packages from damage. Deliver packages to residential and commercial customers in a timely, accurate, and professional manner. Pick up packages from customers and businesses as required. Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive, professional attitude when interacting with customers. Use a handheld scanner to accurately record deliveries, pickups, and package activity. Perform required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance. Communicate with dispatch and management regarding delivery issues, delays, vehicle concerns, customer concerns, or route problems. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe vehicle throughout the workday. Follow all company safety expectations, package-handling procedures, and route completion requirements. Qualifications Must be at least 21 years old. Must have a valid driver's license. Must have a clean and safe driving record. Must be able to pass a background check, drug test, and DOT physical exam. One year of verifiable driving experience is preferred but not required. Must be able to lift, move, and deliver packages up to 150 lbs. with the assistance of a hand truck or other approved equipment. Must be able to handle repetitive lifting, carrying, bending, walking, and entering/exiting the vehicle throughout the day. Must have strong time management, reliability, and attention to detail. Must be able to work independently while following company procedures and management direction. Must have a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and commitment to safety and customer service.
