Job Description

About the Role We are seeking an experienced Fleet Manager to oversee our fleet of trucks, trailers, and equipment supporting our construction projects across a multi-state footprint. This role ensures our fleet is safe, compliant, reliable, and ready to support fast paced field operations. Job Duties/Responsibilities Manage day-to-day operations of a mixed fleet of trucks, trailers, and construction equipment Build preventive maintenance, inspection, and replacement plans that maximizes uptime and reduces total cost of ownership of the asset. Ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and multi-state regulations. Monitor DOT, registration, insurance, licensing, and safety compliance across the fleet. Maintain fleet records, registrations, titles, and compliance documentation Track utilization, downtime, repair trends, fuel spending, and lifecycle costs; provide monthly reporting and recommendations Lead equipment assignments and utilization planning across multiple crews Manage GPS/telematics systems for tracking, safety, and reporting Oversee vendor relationships, service contracts, and repair scheduling Support procurement, fleet replacement planning, and capital budgeting Investigate accidents, coordinate repairs, and manage insurance claims Lead vendor relationships for maintenance, fuel, telematics, rentals, and fleet purchasing. Lead and develop fleet support staff, mechanics, and yard personnel Required Education, Skills, & Experience 5+ years of fleet management experience (construction, utilities, or telecom preferred) Strong knowledge of
DOT/FMCSA
regulations Experience managing large mixed fleets (300+ assets) Proficiency with fleet management software and telematics platforms Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills Valid driver's license Benefits

$70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
