In this vital role, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of transportation activities to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods. Your expertise in transportation management systems, GPS technology, and supply chain processes will drive operational excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment where proactive problem-solving and clear communication are key to success. Responsibilities Coordinate daily transportation operations, including scheduling pickups and deliveries across multiple carriers and freight providers. Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) and Oracle Transportation Management software to plan routes, track shipments, and optimize freight movements. Monitor GPS data and GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools to analyze routes, improve efficiency, and reduce costs. Manage shipping and receiving activities, ensuring accurate data entry into systems like SyteLine and AS400 for seamless logistics flow. Dispatch drivers efficiently using multi-line phone systems while maintaining professional phone etiquette and clear communication with drivers, vendors, and clients. Oversee fleet management tasks such as vehicle maintenance scheduling, driver dispatching, and compliance with safety regulations. Collaborate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) to coordinate freight movement, track shipments, and resolve issues promptly. Conduct analysis of transportation data to identify opportunities for process improvements or cost savings in supply chain operations. Skills Strong proficiency with

GIS, GPS

tracking systems, and transportation management software such as Oracle Transportation Management. Knowledge of logistics principles including shipping & receiving, freight management, and transportation planning. Excellent analysis skills for evaluating route efficiency, freight costs, and supply chain performance metrics. Effective dispatching abilities combined with superior communication skills to coordinate multiple stakeholders smoothly. Experience with data entry accuracy using systems like SyteLine or AS400; familiarity with multi-line phone systems for efficient communication. Understanding of fleet management practices including vehicle maintenance scheduling and compliance standards. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong phone etiquette paired with clear written communication skills for internal coordination and external customer service.
