Job DescriptionTransports students by bus and automobile to various training sites, medical centers, recreational activities, courts, etc.
Transports equipment and/or commodities to the center.
Inspects and reports on the mechanical condition of vehicles.
Maintains accurate and complete trip reports of each use of any vehicle.
Develop and monitor staff schedules for 24-hour, 7 day a week coverage.
Conduct risk assessment surveys as required.
Participate in the development of Center Safety Plan, Emergency Disaster Plan, and Inclement Weather Evacuation Plan.
Establishes and communicates safety and transportation policies with pertinent center and DOL regulations to students and staff.
Provide records and reports of department activities upon request by management, insurance underwriters, DOL, and corporate office.
Formulates and directs the maintenance of departmental records.
Reports incidents of abuse and neglect according to federal, state, and local standards.
Projects a positive attitude and/or enthusiasm for the job, program, and the agency to others, and supports others in developing a positive outlook for the agency.
Assesses personnel needs and works with the Human Resources department to screen and interview potential staff. Recommends promotions, transfers, and merit evaluations within the department. Conducts and prepares performance appraisals.
Clearly communicates and consistently models appropriate CSS and employability skills.
Maintains accountability of staff, students, and property.
Adheres to safety practices in all areas of responsibility.
Fosters and sustains a conducive environment at the center, ensuring it remains free from harassment, intimidation, and disrespect, thereby ensuring a safe space for both staff and students to engage in work and learning.
Qualifications Supervisory Experience.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
One year of supervisory experience.
Experience working with diverse population of youth.
Valid State driver's license and Commercial Driver's License Class B in the state of employment with Passenger endorsement and an acceptable driving recordAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
