Job Description

We are looking for a Transportation Manager to join our team. The Transportation Manager will provide overall management of material, transportation fleet, and work with all internal and external customers. This position requires management resources in adherence with all company standards, policies and procedures, as well as compliance with all federal and state regulations, including
OSHA, MSHA, GDOT

Role Responsibilities:
Manages ordering material and transportation which includes: Cement, Fly Ash and Aggregates. Ensures that plants have material that meet production requirements. Manages internal transportation fleet which includes, hiring, training, discipline, and safety of this LOB. Responsible for communicating and coordinating deliveries with external haulers. Supports plants by assisting with managing inventory levels. Maintains a good working relationship with Aggregates to ensure quality, safety and supply of material are up to standards. Responsible for coordinating with plants to resolve material issues or haulers problems. Communicates daily with dispatch to determine production levels at each location. Communicates with plant managers daily to ensure silo levels are maintained.
About You We Require:
Education and/or
Experience :
High School Diploma. 3-5 years of related work experience. Proficient knowledge of OSHA safety requirements.
Computer Skills:
Experience with Microsoft Office products and some ability to adapt to other computer software. Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
