Operations Manager Exempt Reports To:

Regional Operations Manager & VP of Operations Sweetwater, Texas Operations Manager is to oversee the safe and efficient processing of chemicals in our industrial settings & to assist the Regional Operations Manager with the operation of the facility. This role is responsible for ensuring that all chemicals are handled and stored correctly, supervising teams of workers and monitoring their performance, and ensuring that safety regulations are followed. The Operations Manager must also be able to identify and troubleshoot any potential safety issues that arise. PVS DX, Inc, is a nationwide manufacturer and distributor of compressed gases and other water treatment chemicals. Competencies Knowledge of:

General processing/operations principles. Usage and handling of compressed gases and industrial chemicals. Department of Transportation regulations if driving Skill in: Oral communication. Directing others; providing performance feedback. Handling pressure. Basic mathematics, such as addition and subtraction of fractions and decimals Ability to: Load and unload vehicles, using pallet jacks, forklifts and other equipment Organize work schedules Influence others (advise, persuade, negotiate, instruct & train). Deal with frustrating situations. Prepare reports. Recognize site alarms and malfunctions. Read and understand training materials Visualize the connections/relationships between piping, valves and other components of the filling and warehouse systems Provide quick reaction and immediate response to required situations

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Prepares work schedules Schedules interdistrict shipments Completes monthly inventories Enforces compliance with regulations and policies Supervises bleach manufacturing and compressed gas operations Enforces safe work practices and the use of personal protective equipment Orders and/or schedules the delivery of raw materials and products Assists with EPA, DOT, OSHA and Homeland Security audits Prepares reports Conducts safety meetings Assists with training Maintains vehicle files Major Duties/Critical Tasks Dependent on

Supervises bulk shipments Maintain PSM program Assists with hiring Supervises laboratory operations Performs safety inspections Schedules vehicle maintenance Assists in the packaging, manufacturing and loading areas Dispatches and supervises truck drivers Maintain all transportation assets DOT compliant Maintains daily inventories Maintains personnel files Monitors tank farm operations
