This role is hands-on and fast-paced-ideal for someone who thrives on coordination, accountability, and variety in their day. In this role, you will coordinate with drivers, clients, and internal teams to optimize routes, manage schedules, and maintain seamless communication across all logistics activities. Your proactive approach will help enhance fleet productivity, improve delivery accuracy, and uphold safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of transportation management, driving operational excellence and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Manage, coordinate, and dispatch a fleet of drivers and trucks using McLeod TMS software Oversee daily dispatching, scheduling, and load coordination Ensure compliance with all DOT regulations, FMCSA requirements, and safety standards Manage freight shipments from pickup to delivery, ensuring compliance with schedules and customer requirements. Communicate effectively with drivers using multi-line phone systems, ensuring clear instructions and support during their routes. Maintain accurate data entry in McLeod TMS for shipment tracking, dispatch logs, and freight documentation. Monitor real-time vehicle locations via Samsara and provide timely updates to drivers and clients. Qualifications Proven experience in dispatching or transportation management within a logistics or supply chain environment. Strong knowledge of transportation planning, fleet management, and shipping & receiving processes. Familiarity with transportation management systems such asMcLeod or equivalent platforms like TMW. Excellent communication skills with professional phone etiquette and the ability to handle multi-line phone systems confidently. Proficiency in data entry, analysis skills, and typing for accurate record keeping. Experience working with GPS technology and freight tracking software to optimize routes. Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in fast-paced environments.
