• 8988 Belvoir View Pl, Lorton, VA 22079 Position Overview We are seeking an experienced FedEx Ground Operations Manager to oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of package delivery services for a FedEx Ground contractor.

The ideal candidate will maintain a strong on-site presence at the terminal, ensure operational excellence, and build positive working relationships with FedEx personnel and delivery teams. Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily package delivery operations and ensure service commitments are met.
• Utilize FedEx DRO (Dynamic Route Optimization) to: o Create and manage work areas. o Assign routes, drivers, and vehicles. o Balance route volumes and optimize stop counts.
• Create and assign routes each evening for next-day operations.
• Coordinate and manage daily pickup assignments.
• Optimize routes while maintaining required stop-per-route thresholds.
• Attend and actively participate in daily operational meetings with terminal management.
• Provide guidance to drivers using in-depth knowledge of FedEx route codes and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with FedEx service-level requirements and performance standards.
• Perform sweeps and provide operational support as needed.
• Maintain detailed records for company vehicle maintenance, inspections, registration compliance, cleanliness, and service scheduling.
• Manage driver schedules and staffing requirements.
• Recruit, onboard, and train new drivers.
• Certification as a trainer or experience conducting driver training is preferred. Qualifications
• Hands-on experience with FedEx DRO and route management.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in BC (Business Contact) or FedEx Ground operations management.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Thorough understanding of FedEx Ground operational procedures and service expectations.
• Certified Trainer qualification is preferred. Work Schedule
• Full-time position.
• Schedule requires flexibility, including availability outside standard business hours, to support operational needs and provide coverage as required.

Compensation & Benefits Pay:

$200

• $250 per day
