Jul 1, 2026 Job Description NCUHS has an opening for a year-round transportation director. Position officially begins July 1, 2026 but some training with the current coordinator could occur prior to the transition. Position summary: Maintain the bus fleet in excellent and safe condition and supervise transportation staff to the benefit of the school system and student programs. Some duties will be for NCSU Special Services, for which the candidate would receive an additional stipend. Minimum qualifications: 1.Class B Commercial Driver's License with air brake and passenger endorsements 2.Vermont School bus endorsement and valid DOT medical card. 3.Basic knowledge relating to maintenance of school busses 4.Minimum of two (2) successful years of supervisory experience 5.Familiarity with all rules and regulations pertaining to CDL's as well as rules and regulations specific to operation of school busses. 6.Proficient knowledge of the road systems within the North Country Supervisory Union. 7.Ability to effectively communicate with parents and staff. Terms of Employment:
Full time, year round, 40 hours a week, salary and benefits to be set by the North Country Union High School Board. Salary range between $62,000 and $78,000 depending on previous experience.
