Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dependable and personable Route Manager/Driver to join our team. This role is vital in maintaining smooth operations, providing exceptional customer service to clients, and supplying north central Wisconsin stores with wholesale live bait. As a Route Manager/Driver, you will be responsible for operating a wholesale bait truck, managing the scheduled route customers, and ensuring timely deliveries with professionalism and safety at the forefront. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals who thrive in active roles and enjoy working outdoors or on the road. This is a full time, year round position. Schedule is 4 days a week. Responsibilities Safe operation of an assigned bait truck. Load and unload live bait from bait truck efficiently Manage daily route schedules, adhering to delivery timelines while optimizing routes for efficiency. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns. Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle logs in compliance with company policies. Communicate effectively with customers and team of route drivers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly. Picking up, transporting and delivering wholesale live bait Skills Reliable and Honest Mechanical knowledge is a plus to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues and perform basic maintenance checks. Sales experience Customer Service experience Experience operating heavy trucks Ability to perform heavy lifting safely during load & unload activities using proper techniques. Organizational skills to manage delivery schedules efficiently while maintaining safety standards. Physical stamina for long hours on the road and manual labor involved in loading/unloading operations.
