This pivotal role involves managing transportation efficiency, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and leading a team of transportation professionals. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of transportation management systems, and a commitment to operational excellence. Must have tanker experience. Duties Develop and implement transportation strategies that align with organizational goals, focusing on efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness. Assist in analysis of performance data & key trend issues; make recommendations. Lead and train transportation staff, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Implement strategies for continuous improvement of quality issues across all departments. Monitor key performance indicators such as delivery times, fuel consumption, and driver performance; analyze data to identify areas for improvement. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory standards related to transportation operations. Prepare reports on transportation performance for senior management and recommend process improvements. Qualifications Proven experience in transportation management. Strong knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS), routing software, and fleet management tools. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams. In-depth understanding of safety regulations, DOT compliance, and industry best practices. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting. Effective communication skills for liaising with internal teams, external vendors, and senior leadership. This is a direct hire opportunity with excellent compensation & bonus package!
Pay:
$90,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
