This role is responsible for coordinating inbound and outbound freight, supporting warehouse and shipping activities, ensuring regulatory compliance, and helping maintain efficient material flow to support production and customer delivery requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing logistics, transportation coordination, inventory movement, and team support within a fast-paced industrial environment. Responsibilities Transportation Operations Assist with daily shipping and transportation scheduling Coordinate inbound and outbound freight activities Monitor carrier performance and delivery timelines Support route planning and load optimization initiatives Coordinate expedited shipments and resolve transportation disruptions Work closely with production, shipping and management teams to support transportation schedules Shipping & Logistics Prepare and review bills of lading, shipping manifests, and freight documentation Ensure accurate order fulfillment and shipment tracking Resolve shipping discrepancies and customer delivery issues Support dock scheduling, shipment staging, and inventory coordination Maintain accurate shipping and inventory records within ERP/WMS systems Team Support Supervise warehouse or shipping personnel as assigned Help train shipping staff on procedures and safety standards Assist with labor scheduling and workflow coordination Support operational productivity and continuous improvement initiatives Compliance & Safety Ensure DOT, OSHA, and company policy compliance Maintain shipping records and audit documentation Support workplace safety initiatives and safe operating procedures Assist with compliance audits and corrective action processes Systems & Reporting Use
ERP & WMS
systems for shipment tracking and reporting Monitor freight costs and operational KPIs Generate transportation and delivery performance reports Analyze logistics data to identify operational improvements Qualifications Required 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing logistics, transportation, shipping, or warehouse operations Experience coordinating freight carriers and transportation schedules Knowledge of shipping documentation and inventory control processes Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Preferred Associate or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field Supervisory or leadership experience Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices Familiarity with DOT and OSHA regulations Skills Transportation coordination Manufacturing logistics Inventory management Freight and carrier management Shipping documentation Team leadership Process improvement Data analysis and reporting Communication and collaboration Safety and compliance management Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment Occasional lifting up to company-established limits Flexibility for extended hours as needed Schedule Full-time, 50 hours per week Occasional shift changes as needed
