Dr Pepper Sales Center Position Summary:
The Route Supervisor at the Dr Pepper Sales Center is responsible for daily oversight of small-format delivery and in-store execution, ensuring the facility is opened on time, trucks are staged and verified, routes are covered, drivers are trained, and store set-ups/resets are executed to standard. This role coordinates people, equipment, and priorities to deliver safe, accurate, and on-time service to customers. Key Responsibilities Open and secure the facility, including opening the building at 4:00 a.m. Monday-Friday (or as scheduled), and completing start-of-day readiness checks. Verify and inventory delivery trucks prior to departure to ensure correct product, equipment, paperwork, and overall route readiness. Coordinate daily route coverage, including covering vacant routes as needed to maintain service levels and customer commitments. Train, coach, and onboard new delivery drivers; reinforce safety practices, route expectations, customer service standards, and company policies. Oversee and/or support store set-ups and resets; ensure planograms, merchandising standards, and execution timelines are met. Communicate daily priorities and changes to drivers and relevant partners; escalate operational issues and recommend solutions. Maintain accurate records (e.g., truck/route checks, training documentation, set-up/reset completion) and support continuous improvement efforts. Qualifications & Skills Supervisory or lead experience in delivery, distribution, retail operations, or field service (preferred). Working knowledge of route operations, staging/loading practices, and basic inventory verification. Ability to train, coach, and hold team members accountable to safety and performance standards. Strong organization, time management, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment. Clear communication skills (verbal and written) and a customer-first mindset. Proficiency with basic technology for logging checks, tracking training, and communicating updates. Must have a valid CDL Class B license (and meet all DOT/Company qualification requirements, if applicable). Work Schedule & Environment Early morning schedule with routine start times around 4:00 a.m. (Monday-Friday) and additional hours as needed to support route coverage, store set-ups/resets, and business demands. Work is performed across a facility/warehouse environment and in-store/customer locations, with frequent standing, walking, and hands-on operational support. Physical Requirements / Travel Ability to perform tasks in operational settings, which may include lifting/carrying products or equipment, bending, reaching, and working around delivery vehicles. Local travel to customer/store locations is required for set-ups/resets and route support.
