Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Traffic Control Supervisor (TCS), where you will lead and coordinate traffic management operations on construction sites to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance. In this vital role, you will oversee traffic control personnel, implement traffic plans, and ensure that all work zones operate smoothly. Your proactive supervision will help maintain a safe environment for workers, motorists, and pedestrians alike while supporting the successful completion of construction projects. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate traffic control activities across construction sites to ensure safety protocols are followed Manage traffic control personnel, providing clear instructions and ongoing training on safety procedures and equipment operation Implement and adjust traffic management plans in accordance with project requirements and local regulations Oversee the setup, maintenance, and removal of traffic control devices such as cones, barriers, signage, and flagging stations Monitor site conditions continuously to identify potential hazards or disruptions, taking immediate corrective actions Collaborate with construction teams, safety officers, and local authorities to facilitate smooth traffic flow and site access Ensure compliance with all safety standards related to heavy equipment operation including dozer, loader, backhoe, grader, dump truck, front loader truck, and paving machinery Conduct regular inspections of traffic control equipment and report any maintenance needs or safety concerns Experience Proven experience in construction site management or traffic control supervision within a heavy civil or infrastructure project setting Strong knowledge of heavy equipment operation including dozer, loader operation, backhoe operation, grader operation, paving machinery, and dump trucks Familiarity with utility locating procedures and safety standards for working around underground utilities Prior experience with construction site safety protocols and traffic management plans. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train and supervise diverse teams effectively Valid certifications in flagging or traffic control are preferred; relevant experience can substitute where applicable This role is perfect for motivated professionals eager to lead impactful projects while ensuring the highest standards of safety and efficiency.
