Our Phoenix, AZ service center is immediately hiring a Relay Supervisor. AAA Cooper Transportation is immediately hiring a Relay Supervisor to join the team at our P hoenix, AZ terminal. This role is a crucial part of the service center's daily success through strong leadership ability. RESPONSIBILITIES
Direct driver dispatch and gate operations Execute linehaul schedules, manage load consolidation, and collaborate directly with cross-dock supervisors to ensure trailers are ready for afternoon departures. Call, assign, and track slip-seat and relay drivers, optimizing driver utilization while maintaining targeted on-time percentages. Monitor equipment and drivers using transportation management software (TMS) to review fuel efficiency, idle time, and route exceptions. Ensure safety of all employees Ability to resolve conflict Coordinate the movement of LTL shipments within the ACT network efficiently and safely Make accurate and timely line haul projections Help manage driver compliance with all State and Federal regulations Provide consistent leadership to the line haul group Perform as a team leader with other supervisors in a fast-paced environment AAA Cooper Transportation an independent subsidiary of Knight-Swift Holdings, delivers comprehensive transportation solutions, specializing in less-than-truckload, dedicated contract carriage, and truckload services. Job Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent 21 years or older Class A Interstate Commercial Drivers' License with hazardous materials and double/triple endorsements Pass DOT pre-employment drug screen and DOT physical Satisfactory background check Pass ACT road test Flexible Hours Have the ability to be certified as a forklift operator. Be familiar with proper procedures for handling hazardous materials. Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures, and comply with all federal, state and local regulations that govern a safe work environment. Read, write, speak and understand English well. Count, add, and subtract digits up to 10,000's. Be able to operate a motor vehicle safely. Have a working knowledge of all DOT regulations that govern your particular job. Understanding the LTL industry. Punctual, meticulous and reliable Computer literate (Excel, Outlook, Word). Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Wage Range:
71000.00 - 76000.00 per year
