Ironleaf Arbor Care offers competitive pay based on experience, with opportunities for advancement. Work schedule is Monday through Thursday, 10 hours per work day with occasional over-time. We're currently looking for a Tree Climber or Crew Leader with climbing experience to join our team. Tree climbers are a crucial component of any tree service, and we want ours to grow with us. See the job summary below for more details. About the Role As a Tree Climber, you'll play an essential role in supporting our tree care operations. Working closely with groundsmen and crew leaders, you'll help ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality work at every job site. This is a hands-on, outdoor position offering opportunities for professional development, certifications, and advancement within the arboricultural field. Responsibilities Perform safe and proper tree care services for clients under supervision. Utilize and maintain proficiency in proper pruning techniques. Be knowledgeable of climbing techniques, hardware, and the various systems to effectively perform tree work aloft. Be capable of safely rigging trees during removal and pruning operations. Experience safely operating boom trucks. Participate in safe job setups, including placement of cones, signage, and work zone barriers. Operate and maintain equipment such as chainsaws, chippers, and backpack blowers safely and effectively. Inspect, clean, and report maintenance needs for tools and vehicles daily. Maintain proficiency with ropes, rigging, and other arboricultural equipment. Keep the job site organized and ensure it is fully cleaned before completion. Work collaboratively as part of a team, assisting other crew members as needed. Maintain a professional image and serve as an ambassador of Ironleaf Arbor Care to clients and the public. Communicate clearly and respectfully with team members, clients, and pedestrians around worksites. Required Skills High school diploma or equivalent preferred. ISA Certified Arborist/Tree Climber is desired. Clean driver's license is desired. CDL or ability to attain is desired. 2 years experience in a tree care role. Prior tree climbing experience is required. Excellent situational awareness skills. Ability to perform job while keeping safety a top priority.
