We are looking for someone who is reliable, efficient, skilled, and able to lead a small crew . This is a hands-on field position for someone who can keep jobs moving, manage helpers, communicate clearly, and complete quality work without needing constant supervision. Our company specializes in manufactured and mobile home remodeling and repairs, including roofing, bathrooms, decks, awnings, siding, skirting, windows, dry rot repair, foundation leveling, flooring, cabinets, plumbing-related remodel work, and general mobile home repair. This position reports directly to our field operations manager and will be responsible for helping run jobs, guiding helpers, communicating job progress, and making sure work is completed correctly, safely, and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

Lead small crews on mobile home remodeling and repair projects Perform hands-on construction, repair, and remodel work Guide and supervise helpers during the workday Keep jobs moving efficiently and on schedule Read job notes, job scopes, and material lists Communicate daily updates to the field operations manager Take before, progress, and completion photos Identify material needs, change order issues, or jobsite problems early Maintain clean and safe jobsites Protect customer property Complete punch list items and final cleanup Follow company procedures for time, photos, materials, and job updates Help train junior leads or helpers as needed

Types of Work May Include:

Mobile home roofing and roof repairs Bathroom remodels Cabinet installation Foundation leveling and support work Decks, steps, stairs, ramps, and landings Awnings, patio covers, and carports Siding, skirting, and trim repairs Windows and doors Dry rot repair Flooring and subfloor repairs Plumbing-related remodel work General mobile home repairs Punch list and service work

Required Experience:

Construction or remodeling experience required Ability to lead at least one helper Ability to work from written job notes and verbal instructions Ability to communicate clearly with management Ability to take photos and provide job updates Ability to work safely and keep jobsites clean Reliable transportation required Own truck or work vehicle required at this time Valid driver's license preferred Must be able to work in Sacramento and surrounding areas Must be able to travel within approximately a 75-mile radius as needed

Preferred Experience:

Mobile home remodeling or mobile home repair experience Experience running small crews Experience with roofing, bathrooms, and cabinets Experience with foundation leveling or mobile home support systems Experience with decks, stairs, ramps, siding, skirting, windows, doors, flooring, and dry rot repairs Experience working around older homeowners Experience handling punch lists and job closeouts Experience identifying change order items Experience using job photos, job notes, or field apps

Tools and Truck:

Applicants should have their own reliable truck or work vehicle at this time. Goodie & Sons supplies many common hand and power tools, but specialty tools may be required depending on the work being performed. Truck compensation may be available as part of the company benefits package for approved use.

Schedule:

Full-time Monday through Friday Early morning start Some overtime may be available depending on workload Jobs are generally in Sacramento and surrounding areas Travel within approximately 75 miles may be required

Pay:

Pay is hourly and based on verified experience. Starting range is typically $32-$45 per hour , depending on skill level, leadership ability, mobile home experience, truck/work vehicle availability, tools, and ability to run jobs efficiently. Higher pay may be considered for someone who can confidently lead work in roofing, bathrooms, cabinets, and foundation-related repairs with minimal supervision. Benefits and truck compensation may be available based on company policy and position eligibility.
