Crew Leader, Landscape Maintenance

Job Description:

We are a small, sustainably focused company looking for a responsible, self motivating Landscape Maintenance Crew Lead to join our team. In this position you will supervise others while performing all aspects of landscape maintenance such as spring/fall clean, weeding, deadheading, pruning, fertilizing, mowing, trimming, mulching, planting annuals and perennials, and making compost. To succeed in this position you should be physically fit, enjoy physically demanding work in all weather, have an attention to detail, have excellent problem solving and organizational skills, have remarkable communication skills, have above average time management skills, and be able to both follow and provide instructions.

Responsibilities:

• punctual arrival on a daily basis
• follow and provide instructions
• perform all aspects of landscape maintenance
• train and monitor maintenance crew in all aspects of landscape maintenance
• use hand and power tools
• supervise the use of equipment
• complete inventory checks and equipment inspections
• administrative duties (T & M sheets, mileage logs)
• work as a team, and work independently
• perform all work to a quality standard
• complete work in time frame allowed
• obey health and safety regulations at all times
• ensure crew members obey health and safety regulations at all times

Requirements:

• physical stamina
• ability to work outdoors in all weather for entire day
• 2 years landscape experience preferred
• knowledge of garden techniques and plants
• knowledge of tools and equipment used in landscaping
• capacity to use gardening tools and machines
• ability to follow instructions
• ability to provide clear verbal instructions
• excellent interpersonal skills
• strong leadership skills
• valid drivers license
• clean driving record
• cell phone
• supervisory experience preferred
• irrigation knowledge helpful
• must live within 30 minutes of

Ridgway We Offer:
