Job Description

The Installation Crew Leader is responsible for leading and supervising installation crews while performing high-quality installation services for commercial and residential properties. This position ensures all work is completed efficiently, safely, and according to company standards while providing excellent customer service and maintaining property appearance. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise installation crew members on daily assignments.
  • Coordinate and perform installation services, including irrigation systems, large and small trees, plants, shrubs, sod, and various landscape upgrades according to prints or plans.
  • Ensure all installations are installed according to company quality standards and client expectations.
  • Monitor crew productivity, efficiency, and job quality throughout the workday.
  • Train and mentor crew members on proper installation procedures, equipment operation, and safety practices.
  • Operate trucks, trailers, loaders, excavators, trenchers and various landscape equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Inspect installations for irrigation issues, plant health concerns, safety hazards, and possible maintenance needs.
  • Communicate professionally with supervisors, property managers, and clients regarding property conditions and service needs.
  • Ensure all work is completed according to schedule and within assigned labor budgets.
  • Maintain accurate daily records, including time sheets, work completed, equipment inspections and possible equipment maintenance needs.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleanliness of vehicles, trailers, and equipment.
  • Ensure all crew members follow company safety procedures and wear required PPE.
  • Assist with enhancement projects and special landscape services as needed.
  • Monitor materials and equipment needs. Also communicate shortages to management. Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of landscape and irrigation installation experience preferred.
  • Prior crew leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of landscape / irrigation maintenance and installation practices. Also, a strong knowledge print / plan interpretation, plant material / types, and equipment operation.
  • Ability to operate commercial landscape and installation equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record preferred.
  • Ability to lead and motivate employees in a team environment.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently under minimal supervision.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus. Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Frequent walking, bending, kneeling, standing, and equipment operation.
  • Ability to safely operate commercial landscape and installation equipment and tools. Work Environment
  • Full-time outdoor position with seasonal overtime as needed.
