Crew Leader, Tree Climber

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and experienced Crew Leader, Tree Climber to join our dynamic landscape and tree care team. In this energetic role, you will lead and execute tree climbing operations, ensuring the safety, health, and aesthetics of trees while supporting overall landscape maintenance projects. Duties Lead tree climbing crews in pruning, trimming, removal, and planting of trees with precision and safety. Supervise daily operations, assign tasks, and monitor team performance to ensure quality standards are met. Conduct thorough assessments of trees for health, stability, and risk factors; recommend appropriate care or removal strategies. Maintain safety protocols by utilizing proper climbing techniques, rigging procedures, and personal protective equipment at all times. Support landscape maintenance activities including lawn care, gardening, irrigation system checks, and general site upkeep. Collaborate with project managers to plan work schedules and coordinate with other crews for seamless project execution. Ensure all tools, equipment, and machinery are properly maintained and used responsibly. Qualifications Proven experience in landscape maintenance, landscaping, or tree care with a focus on climbing techniques. Demonstrated supervising experience leading teams in outdoor or construction settings. Strong knowledge of horticulture principles, lawn care practices, irrigation systems, and general gardening skills. Familiarity with construction processes related to outdoor projects and maintenance work. Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on safety compliance and team motivation. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including climbing trees using ropes and harnesses safely. Basic understanding of plant health diagnostics and tree preservation techniques is preferred.
