Slab Jacking Crew Lead Direct Hire Franklin, KY About Us:

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Slab Jacking Crew Lead to oversee and manage our concrete leveling and repair projects in the Belleville, IL area. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with a strong background in construction, concrete work, or a related field. This role requires technical expertise in slab jacking (mudjacking or polyurethane injection), excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to safety and quality. The Crew Lead will be responsible for the daily execution of projects, supervising a small crew, and ensuring customer satisfaction from start to finish.
Responsibilities:
Crew Management & Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and train a crew of 1-3 technicians on all aspects of slab jacking, including safety protocols, equipment operation, and project procedures. Assign daily tasks and manage workflow to ensure projects are completed efficiently and on schedule. Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
On-site Project Execution:
Conduct pre-job site inspections to assess project scope and prepare for the day's work. Operate and maintain slab jacking equipment, including drills, pumps, and mixers, with a high degree of precision. Drill injection holes, inject concrete slurry or polyurethane foam, and patch holes upon completion. Ensure the final product meets high quality standards and customer expectations. Troubleshoot and resolve on-site issues as they arise, coordinating with management as needed.
Safety & Compliance:
Enforce and personally adhere to all company and OSHA safety regulations. Conduct daily safety briefings and ensure the crew uses proper personal protective equipment (PPE). Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all job sites.
Customer & Communication:
Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for customers, explaining the process, answering questions, and addressing any concerns. Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by delivering quality work and maintaining a professional demeanor. Communicate project status, material needs, and any issues to the project manager or supervisor.
Administrative & Equipment:
Complete and submit accurate daily job reports, including time logs, materials used, and job details. Perform routine maintenance and inspections on company vehicles and equipment. Ensure all tools and materials are loaded, secured, and accounted for before and after each job.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in construction, concrete, or a related field; prior experience in slab jacking or foundation repair is a significant plus. Demonstrated leadership ability and experience managing a small crew. Strong mechanical aptitude and a working knowledge of power tools and construction equipment. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting heavy materials (50+ lbs), kneeling, bending, and working in various weather conditions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities. Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work weekends and occasional nights as required.
