Backfill and Grading crew lead South Shore Gunite Pools & Spas (SSG Pools) Northeast | Year-Round Work | Best Pay in the Industry SSG Pools is hiring a crew leader for the flat work grading crew. This position involves transporting a Cat CTL or skid steer to site with 450 to 650 size truck. Coordinating grading material deliveries, properly performing deep backfill around concrete swimming pools, properly and safely bedding pool lines, drainage lines, gas lines, and electrical lines. Brining pool grade up to established level and setting a 2% pitch to the proper direction shown on the plans. Heavy equipment operators at SSG company stay very busy as we have many needs for site work from excavation, trenching, backfilling, access road building, material shuttling and we have a concrete crushing and recycling operation at our yard that is always behind. This position is fast paced and accuracy is important. This position is for a crew leader not a lever pusher. You will be responsible for checking the final grades and ensuring accuracy. Blaming your help for reading the level or stick wrong is not acceptable. Job requirements do not apply if you cannot meet these and they are required by state law. 1. have a 2A and 1C MA hoisting engineers license 2. Valid class D drivers License minimum 3. know what a DOT medical card is and have the ability to obtain one. Non legal job requirements 1. You know what 2% grade is 2.
