This role is vital in ensuring the durability and integrity of building structures through expert waterproofing techniques. As a Crew Lead, you will oversee daily operations, coordinate team efforts, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead a skilled crew while honing your technical expertise in waterproofing and related construction disciplines. Responsibilities Lead and supervise a team of waterproofing installers, ensuring tasks are executed accurately and efficiently according to project specifications. Prepare surfaces and apply waterproofing membranes, coatings, sealants, and caulking to protect structures from water intrusion. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to plan work sequences effectively. Operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and fabrication machinery safely while maintaining equipment in good condition. Coordinate with project managers, inspectors, and other trades such as plumbing, electrical, masonry, and carpentry to ensure seamless project flow. Conduct quality control inspections on completed work to verify adherence to safety standards and project requirements. Maintain detailed documentation of work progress, materials used, safety protocols followed, and any issues encountered during installation. Experience Proven experience in waterproofing installation within commercial or residential construction environments. Strong background in construction site management with knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics interpretation. Familiarity with construction estimating, inspection procedures, and project coordination practices. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, heavy equipment operation, and fabrication techniques relevant to waterproofing tasks. Knowledge of related trades such as roofing, masonry, plastering, tile laying, drywall finishing, glazing (glass installation), fixture installation, framing carpentry, door hanging, restoration work, welding, flooring installation, concrete finishing, and remodeling is highly desirable. Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining safety standards across all activities. Certification or experience with Bluebeam software is a plus for digital document management.
