Full Job Description Landscape Install Crew Lead Position Summary:
Green Summit Landscape Management is seeking an experienced Landscape Install Crew Lead to oversee landscape installation projects and lead field crews in the successful completion of landscape construction work. The Crew Lead is responsible for coordinating daily job site activities, ensuring quality workmanship, maintaining safety standards, and providing leadership to crew members throughout all phases of installation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise landscape installation crews on residential and commercial projects. Interpret landscape plans, blueprints, and project specifications. Coordinate daily tasks and assign responsibilities to crew members. Oversee installation of irrigation systems, plant material, hardscape features, grading, drainage systems, and other landscape components. Ensure projects are completed according to company quality standards and project timelines. Train, mentor, and develop crew members. Operate and oversee the safe operation of landscape equipment and machinery. Monitor material usage and communicate project needs to management. Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce company safety policies. Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, vendors, and team members. Troubleshoot field issues and make recommendations to ensure project success. Maintain accurate records of labor, equipment, and project progress.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of landscape installation, landscape construction, or related experience. Previous leadership or crew supervision experience preferred. Knowledge of irrigation systems, planting techniques, grading, and hardscape installation. Ability to read and interpret landscape plans and specifications. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to operate landscaping equipment and tools safely. Valid driver's license required; clean driving record preferred. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
Working Conditions:
Outdoor work in varying weather conditions. Frequent lifting, bending, kneeling, and standing. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly. Use of landscaping equipment, machinery, and construction tools.
