Job Description

Description:
Position Objecti ve : The Fleet Supervisor is the secondary facilitator of depot through put and asset velocity. This role is responsible for the strategic delegation of vehicles and the real-time management of shop floor logistics to maximize RO Capability, maintain shop integrity, and meet key performance metrics and standards set by the Foreman and FDR Manager. The Fleet Supervisor utilizes critical thinking and executive decision-making to navigate operational bottlenecks, ensuring the fleet meets all availability targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Delegation:
Assign work orders to technicians based on individual capabilities and depot priorities to ensure optimal "Path-to-Service" velocity.
Throughput Management:
Actively monitor the shop floor to identify and resolve "stagnant" assets, reallocating resources as needed to maintain high output.
Metric Accountability:
Maintain constant visibility of RO Capability and other key performance indicators (KPIs); provide regular status updates to leadership.
Administrative Continuity:
Serve as the primary operational backup in the absence of the Shop Foreman, ensuring leadership presence remains constant on the floor.
Inter-Team Coordination:
Collaborate with the RO team and field operations to synchronize the transition of vehicles from "Repair" to "Burn-In" and "In-Service" status.
Requirements:
Experience:
Proven experience in fleet maintenance operations, logistics, or a related technical coordination role.
Technical Proficiency:
Strong knowledge of vehicle components, inventory management practices, and fleet management software (FMS).
Communication:
Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to bridge communication gaps between technical staff and operational leadership.
Operational Agility:
Ability to operate effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced depot environment.
Analytical Skills:
Competency in data tracking and reporting to drive process improvements.
