PAY:

$55,000 - $60,000 (based on experience)

SCHEDULE

Monday-Friday Weekend overtime On-call

ABOUT THE POSITION

As a working Supervisor your responsibilities include supervising and coordinating the daily activities of drivers and lead drivers ensuring compliance and training with safety regulation and company policies, optimizing routes and providing feedback, guidance and support to the team. This position does require performing driver duties as needed. Your expertise in the transportation and logistics industry plays a critical role in ensuring the team meets performance goals with customer's full satisfaction. In this role, you will also be responsible for our day to day productivity and an ambassador of A. Blair safety, culture and customer service. Customer requirements will mandate this position driving onsite to fulfill requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervise team of drivers and yard workers, by providing direction, training, and support while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Performs regular vehicle inspections, ensures all vehicles are safe and compliant with regulations and company policies. Completes ride-alongs and road tests with drivers. Reviews all DVIR's for proper completion. Keeps track of inventory levels in the yard and coordinates with customers to ensure proper loading and unloading of goods. Encourages and monitors safety protocols and regulations. Completes all documentation for accidents and incidents. Communicates with and executes all corporate policies and procedures. Performs all training and onboarding with new drivers. Executes employee reviews and feedback processes. Operate yard management equipment and ensure equipment is used safely and properly maintained. Identify and assist in resolving challenges or issues that may arise during deliveries or in the yard. Maintains open communication with the management team and relays important information to the drivers and yard staff. Respond to emergencies, including breakdowns, accidents, and adverse weather conditions

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

Valid CDLA Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Computer literacy, Google Workspace is a plus. Ability to complete professional development and training programs. Understanding of proactive safety and leadership to deliver guidelines. Sense of urgency. Positive mentality with a desire to build a team environment. Adaptability, flexibility, and problem-solving skills. Customer-centric mindset. Accurate documentation and recordkeeping ability. Additional duties as required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in various weather conditions. Ability to maintain a current DOT medical card.
