This role is responsible for shuttling trucks to and from service locations, picking up and delivering vehicles, supporting DMV-related tasks, reviewing DVIRs, and performing gate checks to ensure all equipment meets safety and operational standards. The ideal candidate must hold a valid CDL with X endorsement, have a clean driving record, and be highly reliable in managing both driving and light operational support duties. Key Responsibilities This role includes safely operating company vehicles to shuttle trucks to and from maintenance shops, repair facilities, and service locations as needed. The driver will also pick up and relocate trucks or trailers between yards, terminals, and operational sites. The position supports DMV-related tasks, including transporting vehicles for registration, inspections, or compliance requirements. The driver will assist with maintaining accurate vehicle documentation and ensuring all units remain compliant and road-legal. Responsibilities also include reviewing Daily Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs), identifying potential safety or maintenance concerns, and reporting issues promptly to management. The driver will perform gate checks to verify vehicle condition, readiness, and compliance with company safety standards before and after movement. This role works closely with dispatch and operations teams to ensure fleet mobility, readiness, and compliance standards are consistently maintained. Requirements Applicants must possess a valid CDL with X endorsement and maintain a clean, verifiable driving history. Prior experience operating commercial vehicles, tractor-trailers, or heavy-duty trucks is required. Strong familiarity with DOT regulations, vehicle safety standards, and inspection procedures is essential. Candidates must be dependable, safety-focused, and able to work independently while following company procedures. Experience with DVIRs, fleet inspections, or maintenance coordination is strongly preferred. Work Schedule This is a part-time position working 3 to 4 days per week. Schedule may vary based on operational needs, vehicle service requirements, and DMV or maintenance-related tasks. Flexibility is required for occasional urgent fleet movements. Work Environment This position operates in both yard and field environments, including driving commercial vehicles, working around diesel equipment, and interacting with service facilities, DMVs, and fleet yards. Must be comfortable with physical activity and outdoor conditions.
