Job Posting End Date 06-13-2026 Please note the job posting will close on the day before the posting end date Job Summary This position reports directly to the Distribution Systems Supervisor (DSS) and is responsible for supervising the work of line mechanics and all other employees as directed by the DSS. Perform all types of line work involved with the installation, rearrangement, maintenance, operation, removal, inspection and retirement of transmission and distribution electrical facilities. Provides first response to trouble calls; investigate, correct and clear trouble, and provide assistance to operations and construction crews as required. Job Description
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Provide leadership and direction to instill a safe work environment and a safe distribution system for employees and the public. Lead and direct the activities of line mechanics. Lead and direct service restoration activities when required Perform the duties of a Service/Line Mechanic A including call-out rotation. Direct, perform and request switching and accept dispatching authority. Provide performance evaluation input to SDS for applicable employees. Provide back-up supervision to the SDS. Perform similar or less skilled work as assigned.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Education requirements are listed below: High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
Work Experience requirement listed below:
Minimum of five (5) years experience in UTILITY distribution operations, construction or maintenance (experience to include progression to top A classification). Required License(s)/Certification(s) are listed below: Must possess and maintain a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Acceptable written and verbal communications skills. Thorough Understanding of Electricity Must be available by telephone or by Company-provided pager or cell phone. Must be willing to work overtime as required by job responsibilities.
