Job Description

Phoenix Management Solutions delivers shared administrative support services to a nationwide network of intermodal transportation carriers and a leading transportation brokerage firm. We are committed to providing DOT safety support and are hiring a Safety Administrator - ELD to work as part of our on-site safety team located in San Antonio, Texas. The Safety Administrator - ELD monitors telematics and electronic log data for DOT hours-of-service violations. The Administrator must have a minimum of 1 year of general office administrative experience and good working knowledge of MS applications.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Monitor telematics/ELD data (hours of service violations, log violations, speeding events, driver contractor behavior on the road). Report on ELD/telematics related findings to the ELD manager. Schedule coaching sessions based on HOS/telematic violations incurred in real time. Communicate with driver contractors daily regarding good driving safety records and adverse safety information. Additional duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, and Outlook) Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to read and write English-bilingual skills in Spanish required Excellent organizational skills while handling multiple priorities and tasks at any given time Ability to maintain professional composure during stressful situations and environments
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent is required. Some college coursework preferred. At least 1 year of general work experience required, preferably in an administrative role. Prior experience working with a multi-state employer is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk while working on a computer or speaking with driver contractors via telephone, Zoom, MS Teams, and other computer applications. Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. without assistance as part of the regular duties of the position. Must be able to periodically walk up one flight of stairs, stand, bend, and stoop while reaching for contractor files. Demonstrated ability to stay focused in a fast-paced, sometimes noisy work environment. If working in the field, must be able to work in various temperatures (hot or cold) depending upon the location of the fieldwork.
