Summary Responsible for overall maintenance of athletic fields and support facilities. Supervises and assists crew members in accomplishing assigned tasks. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provides instructional supervision to maintenance crew members to ensure proper maintenance of assigned facilities Reports any maintenance items needing repairs, by inputting them in the Maintrac maintenance program Maintains athletic fields free of trash and debris; and performs general, turf care to include sod cutting, repair seeding, and watering Creates a water schedule for all athletic fields and inspect irrigation systems monthly Ensures routine maintenance is done on all equipment and tools before use Assists as needed in the daily general athletic field maintenance to include drag fields, line fields, set bases, water infields, and clean / stock restrooms Meets with vendors and suppliers to discuss products used in repair work and ordering any supplies needed to complete these tasks Prepares daily assignments for staff Meets with league coordinators to identify the fields needed for play during the playing season Coordinates with leagues to develop a list of maintenance projects to be addressed during the off season and works with foreman for approval Supports special events and tournaments both City and private and helps with the set up and take down of the portable stage Follow all safety policies and procedures Performs other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent Two (2) years' experience in Landscaping, Ballfield maintenance and Irrigation One (1) year experience supervisory experience Certificates, licenses, and registrations Valid driver's license Texas Department of Agriculture non-commercial applicators license or the ability to obtain license within introductory period Thank you for your interest in the position.
