Landscaping Crew Lead Ashland, VA 23005 $24 an hour - Full-time $24 an hour - Full-time Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Landscaping Crew Lead to oversee and coordinate landscaping projects within our team. This role involves supervising crew members, ensuring the quality and efficiency of landscape maintenance, gardening, and construction tasks. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical knowledge in horticulture and land management, and a commitment to delivering exceptional outdoor environments. As a vital part of our organization, you will play a key role in maintaining client satisfaction through meticulous project execution and team management. Responsibilities Lead and supervise landscaping crews during various projects, including lawn care, planting, pruning, irrigation installation, and landscape construction. Assign tasks effectively based on team members' skills and project requirements to ensure timely completion. Oversee landscape maintenance activities such as mowing, trimming, fertilizing, and pest control to uphold high standards. Ensure safety protocols are followed consistently to maintain a safe working environment for all team members. Coordinate with clients and project managers to understand project specifications and deliver results that meet or exceed expectations. Conduct quality inspections throughout projects to identify issues early and implement corrective actions promptly. Maintain equipment, tools, and supplies to ensure operational readiness and proper functioning. Provide training and mentorship to crew members on landscaping techniques, safety procedures, and best practices. Assist in planning project timelines, resource allocation, and workflow optimization for multiple ongoing projects. #HART-1 Skills Proven experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, horticulture, or related fields. Supervising experience with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively. Strong knowledge of lawn care practices, irrigation systems, tree care, and general landscaping techniques. Familiarity with construction processes related to outdoor environments. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide team members toward common goals. Technical understanding of equipment maintenance and safety standards. Ability to communicate clearly with clients, team members, and vendors. Knowledge of environmental sustainability practices in landscaping. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for quality control. Ability to adapt quickly to changing project demands while maintaining high standards of work.
