Director of Fleet About the
Role:
The Director of Fleet is responsible for overseeing the entire fleet management operations, ensuring that all vehicles are maintained, utilized, and operated efficiently. This role involves strategic planning to optimize fleet performance while minimizing costs and maximizing safety. The Director will lead a team of fleet managers and technicians, providing guidance and support to achieve operational excellence. Additionally, this position requires collaboration with other departments to align fleet operations with organizational goals. Ultimately, the Director of Fleet plays a crucial role in enhancing the overall productivity and sustainability of the company's transportation resources.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field. A minimum of 7 years of experience in fleet management or a similar role. Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in a relevant field. Experience with fleet management software and data analysis tools. Certifications related to fleet management or logistics.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement fleet management strategies to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs. Oversee the maintenance and repair of all fleet vehicles, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Manage the fleet budget, including forecasting expenses and analyzing cost-saving opportunities. Lead and mentor a team of fleet professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability. Collaborate with other departments to ensure fleet operations align with company objectives and customer needs.
